Posting a image in your board message is easy, but only if you have the proper level of permission. Newly registered users might not be able to insert images via attachments until they have posted a few messages.

The maximum image size is height: 600 pixels, and the maximum width: 400 pixels, (600px x 400px) and the file size (for any file) cannot be over 1 megabyte (1mb).

You can insert an image into your post one of two ways:

Using the text editor options, select the Insert Image icon Image and you'll get something like this syntax...

Code: Select all

[img] [/img]
...at which point you'll insert the URL of the image. Or you can manually type out the syntax.

Code: Select all

Be careful where you link from when inserting an image into your post, as some websites don't care for inline linking (hot linking). As a suggestion, use a cloud service to upload your images to, and link from there. However, be sure to check their terms of use before hand, as they might not allow hot linking.

The other method is by using the Attachments option (will have another "How to..." attach files later), located below the the editing window and below the three buttons, Save draft;, Preview, and Submit. You'll have to upload the image file from your computer into the message.

Check the examples below, but that's it in a nutshell.

Example 1
This is a image of a UFO using the text editor's built-in image insert option.
