That's an quite a observation from the 39th President of the United States.
Not to take it too seriously but is there some truth to the answer?
If so, it forces into question other assumptions taken for granted, since most of what Trump has said and done, as president, is in the face of our democratic laws and traditions. Following this path of sequential logic, those rearguard supporters of Trump, have to have much the same pathological thoughts as the president. Why else would they support him so fervently?
You almost have to call them out as to where their loyalty lays. Is it to Donald Trump or the United States?
I'm glad I'm not taking this too seriously.
