Prigozhon Dead?

On Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at 18:11 local time, a Brazilian Embraer business aircraft, EMB-135BJ Legacy 600, crashed in a field near Kuzhenkino, Tver Region, Russia, and burst into flames. There were 3 crew and 7 passengers aboard.

Crew: Commander Aleksei Levshin, co-pilot Rustam Karimov and flight attendant Kristina Raspopova.

Passengers: Yevgeny Prigozhin, Dmitry Utkin, Sergey Propustin, Evgeniy Makaryan, Aleksandr Totmin, Valeriy Chekalov, and Nikolay Matuseev.

It's been confirmed that Prigozhin was on the passenger list. However, until identification can be confirmed the question of Prigozhin being on the crashed plane remains in doubt. A Telegram channel linked to Wagner, Grey Zone, pronounced him dead, however, and hailed him as a hero and a patriot who it said had died at the hands of unidentified people it called "traitors to Russia."

From the BBC, “Around an hour after the crash, the Russian Federal Aviation Agency Rosaviatsiya released a statement confirming that Yevgeny Prigozhin's name was on the passenger manifest.
That is unusually quick for Rosaviatsiya: the agency is usually much slower to respond to such incidents. That raised eyebrows here.”
There is evidence the plane may have tried to evade, according to flight tracking data, as the jet went upward and then downward in a span of 30 seconds, before spiraling to the ground sans a wing. As seen in raw video footage there is a hanging smoke streamer, where it appears the jet might have lost a wing.
